Okay STOP! I just truned vegan two days ago( Thanks to earthlings…) But am I the only one who has noticed that vegan women are SO beautiful!?!?!

nesqualomimocho October 25, 2011 at 4:42 pm

for all those vegans who are anti-honey, you can make a balsamic reduction [1-2 cups balsamic vinegar simmered until it is reduced to a syrup-like texture]. this brings out the natural sugars and kills two birds with one stone!

nesqualomimocho October 25, 2011 at 4:49 pm

yummy smoothie – you look healthy and glow-y

FrailShiver October 25, 2011 at 5:13 pm

I’m about to be a vegan at least try it out for a while. I love my cheese but they are so fatty so hoping to cut it out that I can become healthy. * I love my water and veggies so hoping it will go well. Looking at a lot of YouTube videos for more personalized touch.

@WikidLovely Many vegetarians eat so close to a vegan diet that they consider themselves vegan even if they are slightly “off”. Technically it is not vegan, but to each his own (or her!). :)

WikidLovely October 25, 2011 at 6:32 pm

Honey isn’t vegan though?

healthyone100 October 25, 2011 at 7:07 pm

I Really enjoyed the video and the channel. Wanted to say hi and make friends.

CharmedElegance October 25, 2011 at 8:56 pm

@82Bdog I made this video in the very beginning of my journey with raw food.. I know follow 811 and have never felt better! :D xx

82Bdog October 25, 2011 at 9:19 pm

@basilsunshine if you can’t eat more than that then you should definitely not eat a raw diet. Start reading any material from jeff novick,dr.mcdougall, esselstyn, and dr.campbell and you will understand that mercola’s nutrition info is garbage.

82Bdog October 25, 2011 at 10:14 pm

@basilsunshine dr.mercola is a quack and a supplement pusher. His nutrition info is garbage and he has never published any studies. Dr.campbell, mcdougall, jeff novick all debunk him by referencing actual peer-reviewed studies. Mercola does have some good info on vaccines though but you don’t need his garbage supplements. His “nutritional types” is just more dogma

basilsunshine October 25, 2011 at 10:30 pm

@CharmedElegance Check out Dr. Mercola’s nutritional types. Following 80/10/10 would make some people VERY SICK. The brain needs healthy fats. I think you were doing the right thing by listening to your body.

benjorgensen1 October 25, 2011 at 11:06 pm

@TheRogueMonk legumes might fit in a similar category as some other lightly poisonous plant foods, like some mushrooms or berries that wont kill you but cause toxicity or minor illness. but beside that, they take a long time to digest because they are a starch and protein all in one food. however you may soak and sprout beans before you cook them and this neutralizes most of the enzyme inhibitors and acids.

benjorgensen1 October 25, 2011 at 11:42 pm

@javieraw so not true! there is more iron in raw foods(greens, sesame seeds, etc) than any other diet. same with almost any nutrient, including protein and calcium. most of these misconceptions are fueled my the meat and dairy industry, call me a conspiracy theorist if you want but it makes a world of sense to me.. i know your comment was a long time ago, but i thought i would debunk this anyway just in case. while im at it, im reading a great book right now-Raw Food Controversies!

benjorgensen1 October 26, 2011 at 12:21 am

try these dressings!

1 red bell pepper
1 large orange
1 avocado
2 cloves garlic
-
thai basil
lime
ginger
dill
two sweet oranges
chia seed powder. and of course you just put how ever much you like as far as ingredients. the last one is a dressing that Dan McDonald showed and i modified it. it was originally just basil, ginger, lime juice.

VeganJocelyn October 26, 2011 at 1:21 am

Did you ever do a video on the coconut rolls?

ubercute1sf October 26, 2011 at 1:59 am

@TheFreak137 um sorry you don’t use animals or their by products? yeah okay did you know that plants use animals poop for their nitrogen cycles? just by eating plants you have used animals by products. okay what about bread? yeast is an animal that convert turns the carbs in bread to other carbs. I don’t think the definition of vegan is accurate on your part.. btw what’s up with this raw almonds. Those can’t be bought in the US and are toxic. :P what ev

Tessaluvsyew October 26, 2011 at 2:19 am

Oh god people shut UP about what’s vegan and vegetarian and what’s raw diet and what’s not! Who really cares? As long as you’re healthy and eating the BEST possible choices you can make then my gosh just relax! Who cares if honey is made by bees? It doesn’t harm them now does it? So shush please you’re annoying the rest of us

PamelaViktoria October 26, 2011 at 3:09 am

Before I saw your videos where you went 100% raw overnight, I was 95% for 3 months. Now I’ve been 100% for 2 weeks. There are so few long term rawies out there, we need to stick together!

MultiHaniya October 26, 2011 at 3:29 am

@sowngr8
exercise is only harmful in da wayz u told is only wen u over do it or you are training for something lyk athletics…exercise keeps our body and mind fresh. once u make it a habit u wont feel strssed…and ur body will be in the perfect shapeO:-)

TylerTolmanTT October 26, 2011 at 3:45 am

Thanks for the video and effort it takes to make them

BluefruitNMusicSnow October 26, 2011 at 4:16 am

@sownzgr8 So, how do you think people should eat?

BluefruitNMusicSnow October 26, 2011 at 4:22 am

@CBasie2856 Of course

sownzgr8 October 26, 2011 at 5:05 am

Exercise is bad in at least four ways, it adds stress which ages you; it
makes you hungry and it thickens bone and muscle, making your more heavier which only adds more stress, thickening bone and muscle further, creating a bit of a snowball effect. The lighter you are to a degree, the better overall. So exercise is pretty much a waste of time – the fourth detriment. When you gym, you take in everyone’s foreign toxins – a fifth reason for some. Gyms are a toxin haven.

sownzgr8 October 26, 2011 at 5:27 am

@CBasie2856 Indeed sweating out toxis is very healthy. Good point. All exercise increases hunger, which in itself is also good – if you can shake the hunger pains every day. Big “if” for most of us.

sownzgr8 October 26, 2011 at 5:48 am

@BluefruitNMusicSnow The cause is likely their diet and lifestyle. Okinawa is multi-cultural and is populous and not some remote far off place, which all but rules out genes as a factor. Exercise can do more harm than good and often does, and it always works up a hunger. Non-stress (weightless) repetitional exercise like swimming (in moderation) is probably quite harmless other than again it will increase the hunger for eating – which is bad.

CBasie2856 October 26, 2011 at 6:48 am

@BluefruitNMusicSnow

i don’t know about that. If they were on a processed food diet, their lives would be shorter.

CBasie2856 October 26, 2011 at 7:09 am

@sownzgr8

if you are trying to treat a disease, exercise is important. Otherwise if your healthy, you don’t need it.

10 minutes of cardio should be the max and you should sweat, because sweating releases toxins from the body.

an hour of weight training is ideal. Cardio is the one that makes you hungry, its not good.

BluefruitNMusicSnow October 26, 2011 at 7:19 am

@sownzgr8 Exercise is healthy (to an extent). The cause of their long life span is most likely genetic.

sownzgr8 October 26, 2011 at 7:52 am

Excercise makes you hungry. Southern Island Japanese live the longest and don’t exercise.

ruobhad October 26, 2011 at 8:36 am

I’ve done semi raw foods diet.. paleo to be exact.. I felt the cleanest in all aspects of my health when on paleo. it was amazing, skin looked better, energy was better, sleeping better, happier , urine, bowel movements were much more better. the only thing i wasn’t keen on was that lifting weights became harder.. i lost strength.. yet, my body weight training and endurance went through the roof and i felt functionally level .. its a bitter sweet thing being raw food/ paleo.

HDL2112 October 26, 2011 at 8:46 am

Hi, can anyone recommend good books on building muscle strength with raw foods? im not interested in Raw Power by stephen arlin.

simonmcdo October 26, 2011 at 9:23 am

@xsliceofheavenx even cooked qinoa is hard to digest

TheJooyoungchoi October 26, 2011 at 9:29 am

i learned a lot from your video but the amount of “likes” you say is highly distracting.

danceinocean October 26, 2011 at 9:43 am

This is a bit off the subject but I have been washing my face with just honey but I live in a very dry environment so i need to use some sort of moisturizer. I know you said before not to put anything on but I need something. Any suggestions for a good and natural moisturizer?

dreamvegan October 26, 2011 at 10:35 am

Thanks for answering those questions :D
